This cast sculpture is an artifact from the "Eclipsed" series of work developed over several years and exhibited at the Greenhill Center for North Carolina Artists show entitled "LEAP: Artists Imagine Outer Space" in 2024, and at the Center for Visual Artists in Greensboro, NC. It is part of a larger body of experimental visual representation examining our relationship with the resolution so often attributed to technological dynamics. The sculpture is 4.8" in diameter and has 1.9" of relief. It has a keyhole mount on the back to hang it flat on a wall or surface. (The final image in the thumbnail series shows an example of how several of the pieces appear when mounted together.)
